Privacy Policy

CouponAlert is a private tool used by one family to share promotional coupons that arrive in their own Gmail inboxes. It is not offered to the public.

What we access

With each family member's consent, CouponAlert uses read-only Gmail access (gmail.readonly). It only reads messages from a short list of approved senders, such as Lyft and Uber, to find coupon codes and discounts.

What we store

• Each connected account's email address and an OAuth refresh token.
• For matching emails only: the sender service, coupon code, discount, subject line, and the Gmail message ID.

We do not store full email bodies, and we never read or store mail from other senders.

How it is used and shared

Stored coupons are shown only to family members who enter the shared password. Data is never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising. It is kept in a private Supabase database and processed on Vercel.

Google API data

CouponAlert's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Removing access

Anyone can revoke access at any time from their Google Account under Security → Third-party apps with account access. Their stored token and coupons can be deleted on request to the app owner.
